The Idea Behind Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year
The founder of Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year is Caroline Kenyon and her team of professionals. She is also the owner of The Food Awards Company. She came up with the idea of the awards company a few years ago and was supported by Luke Johnson – a British writer, invertor, and entrepreneur. Not long after Тhe Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year and Tiptree World Bread Awards became a reality, as well.
The latter celebrates the finest bakery in the UK. Hundreds of chefs, bakers, and farmers take part in the contest. Alternatively, they can also be nominated by a third party. The Pink Lady Food Photographer is also open to anyone who wishes to participate; both professionals and amateurs are allowed to take part in the annual contest.
There are no restrictions regarding the types of photographs that can be submitted. Food photographers are permitted to express their art via various techniques without following any predefined rules. For instance, an individual may submit a shot of their favorite meal presented in an innovative and highly captivating way. On the other hand, artists who prefer adding the real human element to their photographs can capture a photo of someone cooking, of a family, gathered together around the table, or even of a salesman selling homemade goods.
All in all, the main idea behind the Pink Lady Food Photographer awards is that participants are free to present their art, regardless of its style. That’s why the number of categories is quite considerable. Here are some examples:
- Street Food
- Food Stylist Award
- World Food Programme Food for Life
- On the Phone
- Food in the Field
